| Guilin & Yanshuo Tour
Day 1: Arrival in Guilin
Arrive in Guilin by air or train. Transfer to the hotel and have the
balance of the day at leisure. Activities can be scheduled if you arrive
early in the day and do not need to recover from jet lag. A medium-sized
city by Chinese standard, the city has long been renowned for its unique
scenery. The name Guilin literally means "forest of sweet osmanthus",
owing to the large number of fragrant Sweet Osmanthus trees in the city.
Day
2: Guilin - Yangshuo
Day cruise on Li River. The 83km stretch of the river between Guilin
and Yangshuo affords breathtaking scenery as the river snakes through tall
karst mountains, gigantic bamboo sprays, and picturesque villages --
sights that have inspired countless poets and painters for generations.
Disembark in Yangshuo after lunch and spend the rest of the day exploring
the small town on you own. Overnight at 4-star Paradesa Hotel. (B/L)
Day 3: Yangzhuo - Guilin
Free morning to explore. You may rent a bicycle and hire a guide to take
you to Moon Hill or just wander around in the country observing the rural
life in beautiful natural surroundings. We drive back to Guilin late in
the day. (B)
Day 4: Guilin
- Home City
Morning sightseeing at scenic Fubo Hill and Reed Flute Cave. If time
permits, you may want to book a private tour to the amazing terraced
fields at Mount Longji (Back of Dragon). Located about 80 km (2 hours
drive) from Guilin, the spectacular landscape has made Longji a popular
tourist attraction. Built by the local farmers of different ethnic groups
from Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) to Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the fields
spread 500 meters from the foot of Mount Longji to the mountaintop
covering an area of 66 square kilometres. Evening flight to Hong Kong or
any other city of your choice. (B/L)
