We only sell tour packages we put together ourselves and we sell them

Superior Quality
As the saying goes, the devil is in the details. And it is the small
details that truly set us apart from the competition. We stay away from
red-eye flights when better choices are available, even though putting you
on a midnight flight could save us a lot of money. We don't leave out
important sites and then nickel-and-dime customers later on with a long
list of overpriced optional programs. The hotels listed in our itineraries
are the ones we actually use. We shun tourist restaurants and refuse to
parade our customers through tourist traps. We supply bottled water to our
customers at no charge. The list goes on and on. We are flattered when our
customers frequently compare us with companies like Tauck and
Abercrombie & Kent. Although we do not provide their level of luxury,
we are proud of our unwavering commitment to quality and the superior

Small Group Size
Our China tours are small group travel and we define small group as less
than 20. Small group has its key advantages over large group.

No Shopping Stops
Our tours have no shopping stops. Forced shopping is a frequent topic in
our conversations with potential customers. We have noticed over the years
that expensive tours do not necessarily guarantee that you will not be
marched through tourist traps while the cheap ones, regardless of the
operators' hype, will certainly include repeated shopping stops, often in
addition to a long list of optional programs offered at inflated prices.
If you feel forced shopping is a nuisance and a waste of time, you should
certainly consider a company that promises no forced shopping stops
including those disguised as factory visits.
Robust Consumer
Protection
The Province of British Columbia has one of the best travel consumer
protection programs in the world. If you buy from a BC licensed travel
retailer such as Laurus Travel, you will be protected by the
BC Travel Assurance Fund against business default and bankruptcy no
matter where you are from. This gives BC-licensed travel retailers a
decided advantage over those in jurisdictions where such mandatory
consumer protection does not exist. In case you wonder, the fund currently
enjoys a large surplus.
